Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a step in the recovery process designed to help you transition from an inpatient setting. This program typically follows the successful completion of an acute residential treatment or partial hospitalization program.
The goal of the IOP is to build on recovery successes, while affording you increasing independence.
The program’s introduction to the outpatient model allows you to utilize healthy coping skills outside of clinical treatment.
